Description

A Muffle Furnace or a Muffle oven is a heating chamber (furnace) in what the sample material is isolated from the fuel along with the products of combustion, along with gases and flying ash. Later the invention of high temperature elements along with mass electrification of developed coutries, muffle furnaces moved from oil to electric as fuel.

In electric Muffle Furnaces the heating byproducts (i.e. byproducts caused by the heating process) are insignificant for most testing processes. Electrical Muffle Furnaces heat by convection, conduction, or blackbody radiation processes. None of the heating processes create byproducts (combustion by-products) and these designs now allow much better control of temperature uniformity and assure separation of the heated materials from combustion adulterates.

Important Notes :

• In order to preserve longivity of furnace components, heating rate of 10°C per minute (maximum) is advised. Highest advised cooling rate is also 10°C /minute.
• This Muffle Furnace is not a vacuum Muffle Furnace, it is not advised to use explosive or toxic gasses without required safety controls & supervision.
• Sometime small cracks may occur on the surface of the refractory ceramics chamber. It’s normal and repairable with alumina coating.
