Description

A Muffle Furnace (muffle kiln) or a Muffle oven is a heating chamber (furnace) in which the subject material is separated from the fuel as well as all the produces of combustion, as well as gases and flying ash. After the development of high temperature heating technology along with massive electrification of the developed countries, muffle furnaces started quickly shifting to electric models from oil.

In electrically heated Muffle Furnaces the resultant byproducts of heating are insignificant for most testing processes. An electric Muffle Furnace heats by conduction, convection, or blackbody radiation processes. None of the heating processes create byproducts (combustion by-products) and these designs now allow far better temperature uniformity and assure separation of the heated material from combustion contaminants.

Important Notes :

• Small cracks are common to appear on the chamber’s surface. It’s quite natural and can be fixed with alumina coating.
• This Muffle Furnace is not vacuum sealed, We advise not to use any toxic or explosive hazardous gas etc. in it unless necessary safety measures are taken.
• To preserve the life of furnace parts, 10°C /min max heating rate is recomnded. Cooling rate also not to cross 10°C /min.
