Description

A Muffle Furnace or a Muffle oven is a heating chamber (furnace) in which the sample substance is isolated from the fuel including all of the produces of combustion, made up of gases and flying ash. Afterwards the invention of high-temperature heating elements and massive electrification of the developed countries, muffle furnaces rapidly shifted to electric models.

In electric operated Muffle Furnaces the heating byproducts (i.e. byproducts caused by the heating process) are negligible for most processes. Electrical Muffle Furnaces heat by convection, blackbody radiation or conduction processes. None of which create combustion byproducts and these designs now allow much better control of temperature uniformity and reassure removal of the heated materials from the combustion impurities.

Important Notes :

• This Muffle Furnace is not vacuum sealed, it is not advised to use explosive or toxic gasses without required safety controls & supervision.
• To preserve longivity of the furnace, a highest heating rate of 10°C is advised. Maximum cooling rate also not to cross 10°C per minute.
• Small cracks may appear on the surface of the refractory ceramics. It’s natural to occur and can be repaired with alumina cement coating.
