Description

A Muffle Furnace (alternatively called muffle / retort furnace) or a Muffle oven is a heating chamber (furnace) in that the sample material is separated from the fuel including all the produces of combustion, as well as gases and flying ash. Later the advancement of high temperature elements and massive electrification of the developed countries, muffle furnaces started quickly shifting to electric models from oil.

In electric Muffle Furnaces the resultant byproducts of heating are insignificant for most testing processes. An electrical Muffle Furnace gets heated up by conduction, convection, or blackbody radiation processes. None of the heating processes create byproducts (combustion by-products) and now these designs allowand now such Muffle Furnace designs allow far better temperature uniformity and assure isolation of the heated material from combustion contaminants.

Important Notes :

• Small cracks may appear on the surface of the refractory ceramics. It’s natural to occur and can be repaired with alumina cement coating.
• This Muffle Furnace not having a vacuum sealing, testing of toxic, hazardous, explosive gasses or /and substances should not be done without necessary safety arrangements.
• To preserve the life of furnace parts, a highest heating rate of 10°C is advised. Highest advised cooling rate is also 10°C /minute.
