A Muffle Furnace (muffle hearth) in other words a Muffle oven is a heating chamber (furnace) in what the sample substance is segregated from the fuel and the products of combustion, together with gases and flying ash. Subsequently the advancement in high temperature heating technology along with widespread electrification in developed countries, muffle furnaces moved from oil to electric as fuel.

In the electrical Muffle Furnaces the byproducts of heating are negligible for most processes. An electric Muffle Furnace heats by convection, conduction, or blackbody radiation processes. None of the heating processes create byproducts (combustion by-products) & now such design allows much better control of temperature uniformity and assure isolation of the heated materials from combustion adulterates.

Important Notes :

• This Muffle Furnace not having a vacuum sealing, should not put hazardous, explosive, toxic substances in the chamber without necessary safety controls and measures.
• Small cracks you may see on the chambers’s surface. It’s quite natural and can be fixed with alumina coating.
• To ensure long life of the furnace, heating rate of 10°C per minute (maximum) is advised. Maximum cooling rate should also not be beyond 10°C /min.
