Used after hardening, this furnace heats already-hardened metals to a lower temperature (e.g., 400°C for many steels) to reduce brittleness and relieve internal stresses while retaining most of the hardness. The working principle involves precise temperature control at these moderate temperatures to achieve the desired balance of toughness and hardness. Temperatures and times are carefully selected based on the steel grade and application. The Metal Tempering Furnace is available in 9 temperature configurations ranging from 600°C to 1300°C. Each temperature variant is engineered with appropriate thermocouple and heating element technology.
